Public petition to return government id if Tasmac is opened in Chinna Thoppampatti

Opposition to the opening of a new Tasmac outlet at Chinna Thoppampatti near Pollachi, public petition to the Collector threatening to return the government identity cards.


Coimbatore: It has been reported that a new Tasmac outlet will be opened in Chinna Thoppampatti village near Pollachi. The people of the area filed a petition at the Pollachi Collector's Office protesting against the Tasmac outlet being opened there.

More than 90 families live in the village of Chinna Thoppampatti. It has been reported that a new Tasmac outlet will be opened 200 meters away from here. Girls and school children use the way to reach school and for various purposes.

The public was told not to open the Tasmac outlet near the residence as it would cause inconvenience to the people living there. They said they would return government ID cards, including Aadhar card, voter card and family card, to the government if the Tasmac outlet was opened in defiance of the protest.
