Upset over Central Government negligence to address Raw materials price hike issue: Industrialists across Tamil Nadu decides conduct protest in December
Coimbatore: Upset of the continues negligence by the central government in addressing the Abnormal price hike of all Raw materials used in the manufacturing sector. Industrialists across Tamil Nadu decided to conduct a state level protest in December.
Tamilnadu Small nd Tiny Industries Association (TANSIA) Vice President, S. Surulivel said, "Steel, Iron, Cooper, Wire, Aluminum and various other products are the important raw materials used in the manufacturing sector.
All the raw materials price has increased so much.
1.Alloy Steel price One Kilo has increased from Rs 40 to Rs 90.
2. cast iron from Rs 55 toRs 90
3. Copper wire from Rs 550 to Rs 850.
4. Aluminium Rs 140 to Rs 210
5. Plastics and RubberPrice has increased more than 70%.
For the past two year's industrialists across the Nation are continuing to request and send representations to the central government to reduce the price. But till now no steps have been taken.
On the other side all the raw materials manufacturing industries are making huge profits.
Upset of this negligence by the central government in addressing the raw materials price hike issue. We the industrialists have decided to conduct a big state wide protest during December.
Meeting regarding this protest has been planned to be conducted at Chennai during December first week. Followed by that meeting, within a few days the state level protest will be held in which many thousands of industrialists will participate. Our intention is to get the attention from the central government on this burning issue which has pushed many thousands of tiny and small industrialists across the state to crisis." He said.
