Coimbatore: In 2007, a pro-government court sentenced a revenue analyst to nine years in prison and fined him Rs 6,000 for accepting a bribe of Rs 500.

Thandava Natarajan, who has been working in the municipal office since 2007, has received Rs. 500 as bribe. A case was registered that he had received a bribe. The trial has been going on for the last 14 years in a pro court in Ooty.

Thandava Natarajan was sentenced to nine years in jail and fined Rs. 6,000. The verdict for receiving a bribe of Rs 500 for issuing heir certificate has caused a great stir in Ooty.
