Commissioner of Police will grant no permission for any protest in Coimbatore till December 10

In a bid to maintain law and order and avoid unnecessary tension, the city police has ordered that from November 26 to December 10, no political party or organization will be allowed to hold demonstrations, rallies, or fasts. Strict legal action will be taken against those who violate this order.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Pradip Kumar's statement read 'Recently, various organizations have been spreading rumours on social media that they are planning to hold protests, commemorations and processions in Coimbatore. Such acts may affect law and order in the city that will sabotage public peace and that would create unnecessary tension among the public. Therefore, from November 26 to December 10, no political party or organization will be allowed to hold demonstrations, rallies, demonstrations or fasts to maintain law and order and avoid unnecessary tension. Strict legal action will be taken against those who violate this order. All political parties, organizations and the public must cooperate in this order.'
