The Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme of Tamil Nadu is extended till January month of 2027. The scheme is scheduled to end by the 16th of January 2022.
Coimbatore:The Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme is extended till 2027, the state government issued orders.
A total of 51 types of diseases shall be treated, and up to Rs.5-lakhs can be claimed under the Chief Minister's Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu to ration card holders in Tamil Nadu. Medical treatment can be obtained free of cost by people in government and private hospitals.
The scheme was renamed as Enhanced Chief Minister Comprehensive Insurance Scheme in 2011, which was incorporated with the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana of the Government of India in September 2008.
