Plan to Launch New Audit unit in the field of Economic Crime and anti-corruption; TN Chief Minister MK Stalin Speech

The Regional Conference of Indian Chartered Observers is being held at a private hotel in Nilambur, Coimbatore. More than 500 people attended the event directly and more than 5,000 people participated online. The conference was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M. K. Stalin through video conference.


Coimbatore: Chief Minister MK Stalin has announced that the Tamil Nadu government will launch a new audit unit to curb fraud by financial institutions in the Economic Crimes and Anti-Corruption Division.

The Regional Conference of Indian Chartered Observers is being held at a private hotel in Nilambur, Coimbatore.



More than 500 people attended the event directly and more than 5,000 people participated online.



The conference was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M. K. Stalin through Video Conference.



In his Inaugural address, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin addressed “It is a pleasure to attend the 53rd Regional Seminar. For the first time in the history of the Southern Regional Council, 5,000 people are pleased to attend. I have participated in this seminar through video conference due to the ongoing flood relief works. Your work will not be limited to finance and auditing. You are contributing a lot to the development of the country. Chartered accountants play a major role in shaping the economy.



The Government of Tamil Nadu is about to launch a new audit unit to curb fraud by financial institutions in the Economic Crimes and Anti-Corruption Division. If important suggestions are brought to the attention of the government, we will implement them immediately. Chartered accountants are not just supervisors, they are economic protectors. Congratulations.”

Finance Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan attended the event virtually.
