18th Yarn Expo kick-starts in Tirupur; Manufacturers hopeful of revival in knitwear orders

Traders from countries like USA, Europe and Australia have booked in to see the Expo.


The 18th annual Yarn Expo kick-started at the Tirupur-Avinashi Road IKF campus, on Thursday.



The three-day exhibition is being held in 118 halls.



Manufacturers from different parts of India have participated and showcased their apparel products. Traders from countries like the USA, Europe and Australia have also booked in for the Expo.

The method of producing yarn from plastic waste impressed everyone.



Knitwear manufacturers are hopeful that the Yarn Expo will create a new market for overseas and domestic traders, to garner in orders amidst the knitting trade's paralysis owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.
