Earthen lamp sales sluggish ahead of Karthigai Deepam in Kinathukadavu

Coimbatore: The Karthigai Deepam festival which is being celebrated on Friday, November 19 has spurred the sale of earthen lamps for lighting up homes and temples.



The earthen lamps made by the potters are for sale at New Bus Stand, in Kinathukadavu, Coimbatore District and are being sold for Rs.2 to Rs.50.



With just two days to go before the Karthigai festival, lamp vendors complain that sales have been sluggish.
