Coimbatore: The monthly 'Crime Discussion Meeting' was held in Coimbatore on Tuesday. Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police, S Selvanagarathinam felicitated the police personnel who performed well in the month of October. The police officers were awarded rolling trophies and certificates.
The benefeciaries of the accolades were Inspector Mathaiyan of Sulur Police Station, Inspector of the All Women Police Station Kopperundevi, Sub-Inspector Damodaran, a woman constable of Vadavalli Police Station for maintaining records well, Anaimalai Constable who uploaded the files in the CCTNS, the Gomangalam Police Station Court Chief Constable for effectively filing cases.
The Karumathampatti Police Station was awarded the best police station and as the best sub-division. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ananda Arogya Raj received the rolling trophy for best sub-division in Karumathampatti. District Crime Branch Inspector Rajeshwari, Sub-Inspector Miyadit Mano, Special Sub-Inspector Senthil Kumar, three Chief Constables, two constables and the Guard Constable were felicitated by the Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police, S Selvanagarathinam on Tuesday for their effectiveness in handling the rice smuggling cases.
The District Superintendent of Police had announced that such felicitations will be done every month.
