2 youth jailed for one year and fined for pelting stones at a government bus

Bhupathi and Ajith threw stones at the bus. The case was being heard in the Coimbatore Special Court. The trial judge sentenced Bhupathi and the other youth to one year in jail and fined them Rs 2,000.


Coimbatore: A Coimbatore court has sentenced two youths to one year in jail for throwing stones at a government bus in Coimbatore. Bhupathi, (25), and Ajith, (27), of SIHS, Anna Nagar, Singanallur, Coimbatore, were walking on Trichy Road on 7. 9. 2015. At that time, the Government Town bus was going towards Singanallur bus stand.

Bhupathi and Ajith threw stones at the bus. This left the glass of the bus shattered. The two were arrested by the Singanallur police on a complaint lodged by the bus driver. The case was being heard in the Coimbatore Special Court. The judge sentenced the miscreants to one year in jail and fined them Rs 2,000.
