No family politics in AIADMK: Pollachi MLA Jayaraman

Pollachi legislator Jayaraman said there is no family politics in AIADMK and current issues will not affect the party in any way.

Coimbatore: AIADMK leaders including Pollachi Assembly Member Jayaraman, Kinathukadavu Assembly Member Damodaran, Valparai Assembly Member Amul Kandasamy and Central Cooperative Bank Chairman Krishna Kumar today made various demands including immediate implementation of projects for the people as various projects including the Western Bypass works brought under the AIADMK regime have been put on hold after the present DMK regime took over. He met Pollachi Collector Subham Gnanadev Rao Thackeray in person and submitted the petition.

Later, Jayaraman told reporters that Rs. 70 crore had been allocated for the Western Bypass project connecting Tamil Nadu and Kerala roads. He said those works have been stopped after the DMK regime took charge and thus farmers, coir producers and the general public are affected. The DMK regime is blocking the projects introduced by the AIADMK regime. Similarly no action was taken on petitions against the public including old age allowance. He said the protest would be held if the plans were not implemented immediately.

He then said, 'AIADMK is the largest democratic movement in 50 years. It is not caught in the hands of any family politics. After the demise of MGR and Jayalalithaa, there is no place for family politics except for those who alternately hold positions as OPS and EPS. It would not affect the party in any way and the AIADMK would return to power with the goodwill of the people.'
