Case filed against driver and conductor after school student falls from a government bus and sustains injuries

Conductor asks student to get down from the bus while it was moving. The student attempted to get off and slipped from the bus. This resulted in swelling caused in the right leg, thigh, and region above the knee. Following this, the student's father Nagaraj lodged a complaint at the Coimbatore City Traffic Police (West) Police Station.


Coimbatore: The school student stumbled as he hurried while getting off a public transport bus. A case is registered against the driver and conductor of the respective bus in this regard.

Nagaraj is from the Kuniyamuthur here. His son Karthikeyan (15) is studying 10th standard in a private school in Kuniyamuthur, Coimbatore. The boy had gone to school on the 7th and when he returned home in the afternoon, he took the government bus No. 96 from Coimbatore to Walayar. When the bus reached BK Puthur the school boy requested the bus conductor to halt the bus at the bus stand.

The conductor scolded him saying that school children were a nuisance as they travel without a bus ticket and they make demands to be allowed get down from the bus wherever they wanted. He then asked the student to get down from the bus while it was moving. The student attempted to get off and slipped from the bus. As a result of this his right leg, thigh, and above the knee was swollen. Following this, the student's father Nagaraj lodged a complaint at the Coimbatore City Traffic Police (West) Police Station. A case is registered against the driver and conductor of the government bus.
