Absence of garbage bin annoys residents of Cheran Nagar


The scene of garbage on streets has been prevailing for the past one week at Cheran Nagar, Selvapuram. 

The residents of Cheran nagar have been dumping household wastes at the place where the dustbin is supposed to be installed. The dumped wastes have been piling up around the area allowing stray dogs to thrive around the garbage causing nuisance to the pedestrians. and residents. 'The delay in replacing the garbage bins has caused Rodents, infectious flies and mosquitoes have increased in number and pose a serious threat for a hygienic living', a resident grieved. 

The stink emanating from the garbage has created uneasiness amongst the locals who strongly urge that the Corporation should act on priority basis to install the dustbins in their area. The recent dengue deaths has alarmed the residents to keep their premise free from disease causing mosquitoes.
