Dengue kills Youngster at Kovaipudur

A youngster named Vivek aged 24, from Kovaipudur passed away due to dengue fever.

Vivek a music artist by profession was having persistent high fever and was taken to consultation to the Primary Health Care Centre, Kovaipudur. He was examined by the medical staff and was prescribed medicines. Soon, his condition got worser which alarmed his father, who took him to a nearby private hospital. On thorough examination, reports indicated that he was affected by Dengue Virus. He was then admitted at the same hospital for further treatment, his condition remained critical and shockingly he passed away on July 3rd. 

The lack of facility at the Primary Health Centre had claimed their son's life, outraged the deceased's parents. The death due to dengue fever has created panic waves amongst the local residents, who insisted that the Corporation department should act swiftly to improve the sanitation standards in their area. Reports indicate, in recent times two dengue deaths have been recorded in the same area.
