On Thursday, Anguraj (40) a private hospital employee from Andhiyur was booked under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act 2012 for attempting to molest a 4-year-old girl.
The accused Anguraj had reportedly lured his neighborhood child with chocolates and tried to molest her. The child's scream alerted her mother and the neighbors, they all rushed to the spot and subjugated the rogue. He was then handed over to Bhavani Woman Police and was remanded in judicial custody.
