Public tackled burglar and handed over to Police


Lakshmikanthan, age 25, residing at Bhagath Singh Nagar, Periyanaickenpalayam is deemed to be a sluggard. He has been very irregular to his work and has been roaming indolently around the area. 

Yesterday, at 2 pm, he attempted to rob at a residence at Raju Nagar. The women in the house were horrified to see a stranger insisde their premise they screached out in fear which alarmed the the residents nearby. The burglar tried hard to abscond from the place but the public chased and assaulted him.

The incident was reported to the local police station and the culprit was taken to custody. The police also reported that they suspect if the accused could be associated in an unresolved murder case of a 55 year lady at the same area around 3 months back. 

The incident created consternation amongst the residents along with a feeling of reassurance, as the burglar was taken to custody.
