The origin of the Coimbatore collectorate building goes a long way back to 1921 to the British Era. And, its probably time that our collectorate gets a brand new building. The district panchayat office and the Tamil development department will turn out to be our new four- storeyed collectorate, shortly. The building is in its completion phase and close to 10 departments will be functioning in the new building.
The government of TN had allotted Rs.19.80 crores and the project started by June 2014.
