An MBA graduate who returned from Dubai recently, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly raping a 20-year-old woman on the pretext of marrying her.
Police said Ramasamy alias Karthik, 29, of Karumathampatti allegedly had a physical relationship with the woman when she was a Class X student in 2010.
The victim used to take tutions from Karthik in 2010, and started a relationship thereafter. Based on her complaint, Thudiyalur AWPS registered a case under and have arrested Karthik and remanded to judicial custody.
