Saibaba Colony Police have arrested M. Gandhivel (27), of Kavundampalayam, on charges of attempting to murder Nandakumar and his friend Shankar near the time keeper’s office in the new bus stand on Mettupalayam Road in the small hours of Sunday.
The police said that a fight broke out between Gandhivel and the two over sharing ganja. He attacked them with billhook on the chest and abdomen. The two were under treatment at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, the police added.
