Beneficiary gets house

The inaugural ceremony of Nehru Dream Home by Nehru Educational Trust was held on Friday at Thirumalayampalayam village, wherein the identified beneficiary of the year Mrs.Theivamani got her house.

Chief guest Thavathiru Ponmanivasaga Adigalar handed over the house key to Mrs.Theivamani in the presence of P. Krishnadas, managing trustee of Nehru Group of Institutions and P. Krishnakumar, secretary and CEO of the group.

Houses are constructed for the shelter-less people, who are below the poverty level (BPL) and who have at least 3.5 cents of land as announced by the government in 2012. Every year, one house is constructed and handed over to the beneficiary, identified by the Trust.

This year, the house with a hall, bedroom and kitchen, has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 7.5 lakh.
