S. Safina Parvin (24) of Mettupalayam, who consumed poison on Wednesday, died at Coimbatore Medical College Hospital on Saturday. The police said that she took the extreme step fearing poor performance in the SSLC board examination. She was married to Saqual Hameed of Mettupalayam about nine months ago. While he is working in Dubai, she wanted to complete her SSLC through private coaching to secure a job in Dubai. After writing her mathematics exam last week, she feared that she might not clear the exam and consumed poison.
