Coimbatore Corporation Mayor Ranganaayaki Ramachandran and Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja IAS inspected various development projects in the North Zone including a connecting bridge, artificial turf ground, laboratory, tree plantation and stormwater drain cleaning works at multiple locations across the city.
Coimbatore: Mayor Ranganaayaki Ramachandran and Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja IAS today conducted an on-site inspection of various development projects planned for areas under the North Zone of Coimbatore Corporation.
The inspection covered the proposed connecting bridge construction work between Mahatma Gandhi Nagar and Marutham Nagar areas under Ward No. 29. The officials reviewed plans for setting up an artificial turf ground at Ganapathi Pitti Colony. They also examined the proposal to establish a laboratory at the Urban Primary Health Centre premises located in Ganapathi Garden area.

Following this, the Corporation Commissioner planted saplings at the Corporation land near the Urban Health Centre on Trichy Main Road under Ward No. 63 in the Central Zone. He also conducted a surprise inspection of the Amma Unavagam located on 80 Feet Road.

Earlier, the Commissioner visited and inspected the stormwater drain cleaning works at Meenakshi Garden area in Thudiyalur under Ward No. 14 in the North Zone.

The inspections were attended by Assistant Commissioners Ganesan and Mohanasundari, Executive Engineers Devathas and Jegan, Assistant Executive Engineers Saravanakumar (Public Works) and Sathyamurthy (Public Works), Councillor Chitra, Zonal Health Officers Gunasekaran and Murugan, Assistant Engineers Prakadheeswarar, Sakthivel and Gopinath, Health Inspectors Jeevamurugaraj and Jayaparvathi, along with several other Corporation officials.
