Passenger Alert: Weekly Special Trains Between Charlapalli and Kollam via Coimbatore Announced

Southern Railway has announced four pairs of weekly special trains between Charlapalli and Kollam via Salem, Erode, Tiruppur and Podanur to meet the increased passenger demand. The services will operate from August 14 to September 5.

Coimbatore: To meet the growing passenger demand, Southern Railway has announced the operation of four pairs of weekly special trains between Charlapalli in Telangana and Kollam in Kerala via Salem, Erode, Tiruppur and Podanur.

Train No. 07195 Charlapalli–Kollam Weekly Special will depart from Charlapalli at 7.15 a.m. on Fridays from August 14 to September 4, reaching Kollam at 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

In the return direction, Train No. 07196 Kollam–Charlapalli Weekly Special will leave Kollam at 5.20 p.m. on Saturdays from August 15 to September 5 and arrive at Charlapalli at 12.30 a.m. on Mondays.

The special trains will comprise AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class, General Second Class and Luggage-cum-Brake Van coaches.

En route, the trains will halt at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Guntur, Tenali, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Changanassery, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara, Kayamkulam and Karunagappalli.

As per the timetable, the Charlapalli–Kollam service will reach Salem at 12.35 a.m., Erode at 1.35 a.m., Tiruppur at 2.25 a.m. and Podanur at 5.45 a.m. on Saturdays.

The return Kollam–Charlapalli service will halt at Podanur at 1 a.m., Tiruppur at 2 a.m., Erode at 3.20 a.m. and Salem at 4.25 a.m. on Sundays.

Southern Railway has advised passengers to check the detailed schedule and make reservations in advance.
