MLA PRG Arun Kumar Inaugurates Multiple Infrastructure Projects in Coimbatore

MLA PRG Arun Kumar initiated several infrastructure projects in Coimbatore's Kavundampalayam constituency on October 14, including storm water drains and roads, with a total budget of Rs. 38.85 lakh.


Coimbatore: Kavundampalayam constituency MLA PRG Arun Kumar inaugurated multiple infrastructure projects across various locations in Coimbatore on October 14, 2023. The projects, funded by the Union General Fund for 2023-2024, aim to improve drainage systems and road conditions in several areas.



In Kasthurinaickenpalayam, Ward 1 of Somiyampalayam Panchayat in Periyanaickenpalayam Union, a storm water drain construction project worth Rs. 8.20 lakh was initiated near Sivasami Vibhuti Stores at the foothills of Marudamalai.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by the Periyanaickenpalayam Union Chairperson, Panchayat President, Union members, and local residents.



Another project in Kasthurinaickenpalayam, Ward 11, involves the construction of a storm water drain from Aruchamy Bhoomi to Vadavalli Idayarpalayam road and a tar road near the Amman Temple. This project, estimated at Rs. 6.70 lakh, also saw its foundation stone laid by MLA Arun Kumar.



In Somayanur, under the Nachundapuram Panchayat of Periyanaickenpalayam Union, a concrete road construction project worth Rs. 14 lakh was initiated. The ceremony was attended by local officials and the public.



At Pannimadai Panchayat, in the N.A.M Nagar area of Thaliyur, another concrete road project valued at Rs. 9.95 lakh was launched. The District Councillor joined other local officials and residents for this event.





Additionally, MLA PRG Arun Kumar visited homes affected by recent rains in the Kasturi Nayakkan Puthur area of Pannimadai Panchayat. He assessed the damage and offered words of comfort to the affected residents. AIADMK officials accompanied the MLA during this inspection.

These projects are part of ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and address weather-related issues in the Kavundampalayam constituency of Coimbatore.
