Free Bicycles Distributed at Ashokapuram Government Higher Secondary School in Coimbatore

On October 8, free bicycles were distributed to students at Ashokapuram Government Higher Secondary School in Coimbatore's Periyanaickenpalayam East Union, as part of the Tamil Nadu government's scheme.

Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu government's free bicycle distribution scheme was implemented at the Ashokapuram Government Higher Secondary School in Periyanaickenpalayam East Union of Coimbatore district on Monday, October 8. The event saw the participation of Karthik, the DMK Secretary of Periyanaickenpalayam Union, who graced the occasion as a special guest.

The ceremony was attended by both male and female students who were the beneficiaries of this welfare scheme. The distribution of free bicycles is part of the state government's initiative to support students and encourage education, particularly for those from economically weaker sections.

Teachers and headmasters of the school were also present during the event, marking their support for this student-centric program. The presence of educational staff underscored the importance of the scheme in the academic community.

This bicycle distribution scheme is one of several welfare measures implemented by the Tamil Nadu government to aid students in their educational pursuits. By providing free bicycles, the government aims to ease the commute for students, especially those from rural areas, potentially reducing dropout rates and encouraging regular school attendance.
