Coimbatore: Nilgiris MP A. Raja paid his respects to the late Padma Shri Pappammal, visiting her residence on October 6 to offer floral tributes to her portrait. Pappammal, a renowned organic farmer who passed away recently, was a recipient of both the Padma Shri award from the Union Government and the Periyar award from the DMK party.



The visit was a gesture of honor to the memory of Pappammal, who was widely recognized for her contributions to organic farming and rural development. MP Raja was accompanied by several DMK party officials during this solemn occasion.



Among those present were District Party Secretary Tho. A. Ravi, Executive Committee Member T.R. Shanmugasundaram, and State Agricultural Workers' Wing Deputy Secretary Arunkumar. Union Party Secretaries Surendran and SMT Kalyanasundaram, along with other DMK party administrators, also joined in paying their respects.
