Karpagam College of Engineering Hosts Yuva 2024: Induction Programme for First-Year B.E./B.Tech Students

Karpagam College of Engineering, Coimbatore, held Yuva 2024, an induction programme for first-year B.E. and B.Tech students on September 16, 2024. The event featured inspiring speeches and motivational talks for the new batch.


Coimbatore: Karpagam College of Engineering (KCE) in Coimbatore successfully conducted Yuva 2024, an induction programme for the 25th batch of first-year B.E. Electrical and Electronics Engineering and B.Tech Information Technology students. The event took place on September 16, 2024, at 10:30 AM, marking the beginning of the academic journey for the new entrants.





The programme commenced with the traditional Tamilthai Vazhthu, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries, setting a solemn tone for the proceedings.



Dr. N.M. Saravanakumar, Professor and Head of the Department of Information Technology, delivered the welcome address, warmly greeting the fresh batch of students. Subsequently, Dr. R. Rathinam, Professor and Head of Science and Humanities, introduced the chief guest to the gathering.

Dr. V. Kumar Chinnaiyan, Principal of Karpagam College of Engineering, delivered the presidential address. He encouraged the students to make the most of their academic journey at KCE, emphasizing the importance of utilizing the resources and opportunities available at the institution.

The highlight of the event was the inspiring speech by the chief guest, Dr. Gopala Narayanamoorthy, a renowned public speaker and educationalist. Dr. Narayanamoorthy motivated the students to take responsibility for their actions and pursue their academic goals with consistency and dedication.

In his address, Dr. Narayanamoorthy shared the inspiring story of Arunima Sinha, the first female amputee to climb Mount Everest. Through this powerful narrative, he emphasized the importance of resilience, determination, and setting clear goals. The story illustrated how perseverance can help overcome even the most challenging obstacles and lead to success.



The chief guest's speech left a lasting impression on the students, encouraging them to face challenges head-on and strive for excellence in their academic and personal lives.



The induction programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. C. Kumar, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, followed by the rendering of the National Anthem. The event successfully set a positive tone for the academic journey ahead, inspiring the new batch of students to embrace their college life with enthusiasm and determination.
