Coimbatore Teen Photographer Travels to Russia's Far East to Capture Kamchatka Brown Bears

A 16-year-old wildlife photographer from Coimbatore journeys to the remote Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia to photograph the largest brown bears in Eurasia feeding on salmon.


In a remarkable display of passion and dedication to wildlife photography, a 16-year-old from Coimbatore has embarked on an extraordinary journey to the Kamchatka Peninsula in far eastern Russia. The young photographer, Prahalad Vikram, set out to capture images of the largest brown bears in Eurasia feeding on salmon in their natural habitat.



The Kamchatka Peninsula, located near Alaska, lies between the Sea of Okhotsk on the west and the Pacific Ocean and Bering Sea on the east. This remote and pristine wilderness is home to the Kamchatka brown bear, known for its impressive size and salmon-feeding behavior.
