Thudiyalur Lions Club Donates Uniforms and Stationery to Government School Students

Thudiyalur Lions Club provided two sets of uniforms, pens, pencils, and sweets to students of Palanikkoundanputhur Government Panchayat Union Primary School near Thudiyalur, Coimbatore.



Coimbatore: The Thudiyalur Lions Club, as part of its community service initiatives, donated uniforms and stationery to students of Palanikkoundanputhur Government Panchayat Union Primary School near Thudiyalur, Coimbatore. The event took place on the school premises, where each student received two sets of uniforms, pens, pencils, and sweets.

The newly elected office bearers of the Thudiyalur Lions Club for the year 2024-25 organized this event as one of their first community service activities. The school's headmaster, Kalimuthu, welcomed the guests and participants.



P.P. Aruachamy, President of the Thudiyalur Lions Club, presided over the function. Other key members present included Secretary Nithyanandham, Treasurer Arumugam, and Charter President A.V. Murugesh. During his speech, Aruachamy promised that the club would soon renovate the school's compound wall and provide necessary assistance to increase student enrollment.

The club distributed uniforms and stationery worth Rs. 30,000 to students from classes 1 to 5. Former presidents of the Lions Club, including Rama Moorthy, Ayyasamy, Sundarraj, and Thambu Nayakar, also attended the event. Other members present were Raja, Sargunam, Kumar, Mahesh, and Muthuvel, along with parents of the students.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by teacher Smilin. This initiative by the Thudiyalur Lions Club demonstrates their commitment to supporting education and providing essential resources to underprivileged students in the community.
