Power Outage Announced for Tomorrow in Somanur, Kuppepalayam, and Komangalampudur Substations

Electricity Board announces power cuts in various areas of Coimbatore on August 20 from 9 AM to 5 PM due to monthly maintenance work at three substations.


Coimbatore: The Electricity Board has announced power outages in several areas of Coimbatore district on August 20 due to scheduled monthly maintenance work at three substations - Kuppepalayam, Somanur, and Komangalampudur. The power cut will be effective from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Areas affected under the Kuppepalayam substation include Onnipalayam, Sikkarampalayam, Senniveerampalayam, Kallipalayam, Kattampatti, Kuppepalayam, Sengalipalayam, parts of Pugalur, Vadavalli, Kurumbapalayam, Karichippalayam, Kadavukarai, Puthur, Vadugapalayam, Mondikaliputhur, Rangappagoundanputhur, and Moonukattiyur.

The power cut in the Somanur substation will affect Somanur, Karumathampatti, Krishnapuram, Samalapuram, Ramachiampalayam, Thottipalayam, Senthil Nagar, Parasivanpalayam, and parts of Kaniyur.

Areas under the Komangalampudur substation that will experience power outage include Coimbatore, Kadaimadu, Komangalaputhur, Lakshmipuram, Gowlanayakkanpatti, Vathanallur, Sathipalayam, Kallarpattisungam, Kollarpatti, Thippampatti, Nallampalli, Kanjampatti, and Poosaripatti.

The Electricity Board has urged residents in these areas to plan accordingly and regrets any inconvenience caused due to this essential maintenance work.
