The festival included a series of rituals and cultural events spread over several days. On the 17th, holy water pots were brought from the Sri Sithammaal Temple, followed by women and children from the entire village bringing sprouted grains. The evening featured Oyilattam dance performances.

On the 18th, various pujas were performed, including the sacred lamp worship, holy water worship, worship of the eldest Pillaiyar, and the Thirumangal worship. The day also saw the extraction of anthills, worship of sprouted grains, and the first fire ritual.
