One-Day Training Program on Agroforestry Under TOFI Scheme in Coimbatore

A one-day training program on agroforestry under the Trees Outside Forests in India (TOFI) scheme is scheduled for August 25, 2024, in Coimbatore. The event aims to educate participants about agroforestry practices and the TOFI project.



Coimbatore: The Trees Outside Forests in India (TOFI) project, a five-year initiative jointly implemented by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India, is organizing a one-day training program on agroforestry in Coimbatore.

The training session, scheduled for Sunday, August 25, 2024, invites all interested individuals to participate and benefit from the program. The event will cover key topics including an introduction to agroforestry, information on tree species (region-specific), and an overview of the TOFI project.

Dr. C.R. Jayaprakash, Ph.D., will serve as the primary trainer for the event. The training program will commence at 10:00 AM and will be held at REDWOODS Natural Agriculture Farm, located at 2/453, Veerapandiputhur Road, near Thudiyalur Police Station, Chinna Thudiyalur, Coimbatore-641108.
