Karpagam Institute of Technology Celebrates 78th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervor

Karpagam Institute of Technology in Coimbatore marked the 78th Independence Day with flag hoisting, cultural programs, and a stirring address by the principal, emphasizing the importance of freedom and civic responsibility.


Coimbatore: The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotism at Karpagam Institute of Technology (KIT) in Coimbatore on Tuesday. The campus was adorned with tricolor decorations, creating a festive atmosphere as students, faculty, and staff gathered to commemorate this significant milestone with a strong sense of pride and unity.

The ceremony commenced with Dr. P. Manimaran, the principal of KIT, hoisting the national flag. The stately backdrop of the institution and the fluttering tricolor served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by freedom fighters who paved the way for an independent India.



Following the flag hoisting, the event featured a heartfelt rendition of the Flag Song, setting a patriotic tone for the proceedings. In his address to the gathering, Dr. Manimaran emphasized the true meaning of independence and the importance of upholding the principles of justice, equality, and freedom for which our forebears fought valiantly.

The principal also highlighted the crucial role that educational institutions play in shaping responsible, informed citizens who contribute significantly to the nation's progress. He urged the students to become active participants in the country's development and to uphold the values of the Constitution.



The Independence Day celebration at KIT concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, fostering a sense of national unity among all present. After the formal proceedings, Dr. Manimaran expressed his gratitude to all who contributed to the event's success. He highly praised the organizing committee for their efforts in making the celebration both memorable and meaningful.

The event not only commemorated India's independence but also reinforced the importance of patriotism and civic responsibility among the young minds at Karpagam Institute of Technology.
