This marks her second gold medal at the national level, showcasing her exceptional skill and dedication to the sport.

Preethi began her shooting training in March 2023. Her journey started with winning a bronze medal in the state-level National Cadet Corps (NCC) shooting competition. Encouraged by this success, she continued her training through the 5TN Girls Battalion NCC office.

In July 2023, Preethi participated in her first national-level shooting competition held in Thiruvananthapuram, where she won a gold medal. Following this, she competed in another national-level event in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, securing a silver medal. Her relentless pursuit of excellence led her to participate in the recent national-level shooting competition at NIT Trichy, where she clinched another gold medal.

The competition at NIT Trichy saw participation from 296 students across the country. Preethi's outstanding performance not only earned her the gold medal but also brought immense pride to Tamil Nadu.
