BJP Celebrates 77th Independence Day in Coimbatore, Honors Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar

BJP Coimbatore unit celebrated the 77th Independence Day by garlanding Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar's portrait on 80 Feet Road, Ramanathapuram. The event included distribution of sweets and honoring freedom fighters.


Coimbatore: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Coimbatore unit celebrated the 77th Independence Day by paying homage to Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar.



The event, organized as per the national and state district guidelines of the party, took place on the 80 Feet Road in Ramanathapuram, Coimbatore.



Party members garlanded the portrait of Deivathiru Maganar Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar as a mark of respect.



Following this, sweets were distributed to the public, commemorating the sacrifices of freedom fighters and celebrating the spirit of independence.



The event saw the participation of several key BJP functionaries. RT Murali, the in-charge of Coimbatore South and a district executive committee member, was present at the celebration. Sivakumar, the zonal leader, also attended the function. Various state district, zonal, and branch executives of the party were part of the gathering.

P. Jayaseelan, the Coimbatore City District Secretary of the Environmental Protection Division of BJP, was responsible for organizing the event. The celebration reflected the party's commitment to honoring national heroes and marking significant historical milestones.



This Independence Day celebration by the BJP in Coimbatore not only paid tribute to freedom fighters but also emphasized the party's connection with local cultural icons like Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar, demonstrating their efforts to blend national celebrations with regional sentiments.
