Coimbatore: In a remarkable display of environmental consciousness, thousands of students in Coimbatore's Thudiyalur area came together to form a giant water droplet shape, raising awareness about water conservation. This unique event, organized by Rasika Events in collaboration with the central government's Ministry of AYUSH, has earned a place in the Nobel World Records Book for 2025.
The awareness program saw the participation of students aged 3 to 16, who gathered to form the massive water droplet formation.
School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, who joined the event via video conference, addressed the students on the importance of water conservation.
Leema Rose Martin, Joint General Secretary of the Indian Democratic Party, attended as the chief guest and inaugurated the world record attempt. She spoke to the students about the significance of water conservation and its impact on the environment.
The event was presided over by V.K.V. Sundararajan, Chairman of VKV Group of Companies, with Rajendran, Chairman of Kannan Pandhal Nilayam, as the guest of honor.
During the program, awareness was created not only among the children but also extended to parents, emphasizing the crucial need for water conservation in households. The Nobel World Records organization, which witnessed the event, has officially recognized it and included it in their 2025 record book.
Following the main event, the Nobel World Records organization presented a certificate to Rasika, the owner of Rasika Events, acknowledging the achievement. The participating students were also awarded certificates for their contribution to this world record-breaking initiative.
The event featured various competitions related to water conservation, with winners receiving prizes and certificates. Medical support for the participants was provided by the VG Hospital administration.
This massive awareness campaign not only succeeded in spreading the message of water conservation but also showcased the power of collective action in addressing environmental concerns.
