Coimbatore: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated a new flyover in Ukkadam, Coimbatore on Thursday, marking a significant milestone in the city's infrastructure development. The 3.8-kilometer-long flyover, constructed at a cost of ₹481 crore, aims to reduce the severe traffic congestion between Ukkadam and Athupalam on the Palakkad highway.

The much-awaited infrastructure project is expected to bring relief to thousands of commuters who have been facing daily traffic snarls on this busy stretch. The flyover is designed to streamline traffic flow and reduce travel time for vehicles heading towards Palakkad and other destinations.

After the inauguration ceremony, Chief Minister Stalin expressed his joy by waving to the gathered crowd. The event saw a large turnout, including numerous DMK administrators, party workers, and members of the public, highlighting the importance of this project for the local community.

The completion of this flyover is part of the state government's ongoing efforts to improve urban infrastructure and ease transportation woes in rapidly growing cities like Coimbatore. It is anticipated that the new flyover will not only alleviate traffic congestion but also contribute to the overall development of the area.
