Minister S. Muthusamy visited Karumathampatti, Coimbatore on August 3 to inspect the ongoing installation of former Chief Minister Karunanidhi's statue. The statue is expected to be unveiled during Chief Minister's visit on August 9.

Coimbatore: Minister S. Muthusamy conducted an on-site inspection of the installation work for former Chief Minister Karunanidhi's statue in Karumathampatti, Coimbatore on Thursday, August 3. The minister personally visited the location to review the progress of the statue's setup.

The inspection was attended by several officials and party members, including district secretaries Thalapathy Murugesan and Tho. A. Ravi, as well as district trust committee member Sibi Senthilkumar. The presence of these key figures underscores the importance of the project to the local administration and party.

Sources indicate that the statue is likely to be unveiled on August 9, coinciding with Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's scheduled visit to Coimbatore. This timing suggests that the statue's inauguration may be a significant event during the Chief Minister's tour of the region.

The installation of Karunanidhi's statue in Karumathampatti is seen as a tribute to the late DMK leader's legacy and his contributions to Tamil Nadu's political landscape. Such memorials often serve as focal points for party supporters and as reminders of political heritage in the state.
