Coimbatore: A Rajasthan-based voluntary organization is set to provide free artificial limbs to thousands of differently-abled individuals in Coimbatore on August 4. The initiative, led by Narayan Seva Sansthan from Udaipur, will benefit recipients from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka.

Narayan Seva Sansthan, known for its charitable work across India and African countries, has been organizing camps to fit artificial limbs for the differently-abled free of charge. In a first for Tamil Nadu, the organization conducted an initial assessment camp in Coimbatore last April, where thousands of differently-abled individuals from various regions participated.

Following the assessments, the upcoming camp on August 4 will focus on fitting artificial limbs for those previously measured. The process will be carried out with the assistance of a medical team.

Bhagwan Prashanth Kaur, spokesperson for Narayan Seva Sansthan, urged all differently-abled individuals who had their measurements taken to participate in the camp and benefit from the initiative. Prior to the announcement, awareness posters for the camp were released by volunteers Santhosh Mundada and Kamal Kishore Kaur.

This philanthropic effort aims to improve the quality of life for thousands of differently-abled individuals across South India, providing them with mobility and independence through artificial limbs.
