Mettupalayam CITU Team Departs to Aid Wayanad Landslide Victims

A team from Mettupalayam CITU led by Shamsudeen Muhammad Ali Jinnah departed on July 30 to provide initial relief to victims of the devastating landslide in Wayanad, Kerala, where over 100 lives have been lost.


Coimbatore: In a show of solidarity and support, a team from the Mettupalayam branch of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) has set out to assist the victims of the recent landslide in Wayanad, Kerala. The team, led by Shamsudeen Muhammad Ali Jinnah, departed on July 30 to provide initial relief and aid to those affected by the natural disaster.

The landslide in Wayanad has claimed over 100 lives so far, with reports suggesting that many more individuals might still be trapped. The catastrophe has left the local community devastated and in dire need of assistance.



The Mettupalayam CITU team's initiative demonstrates the spirit of cross-state cooperation in times of crisis. Their mission is to offer immediate support and help in whatever capacity they can to the affected population in Wayanad. This gesture highlights the importance of community support and quick response in the face of natural disasters.
