AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami Pays Tribute to Deceased Pollachi Business Leader GD Gopalakrishnan

In Pollachi, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami expressed his condolences to the family of the late business leader GD Gopalakrishnan, who passed away due to a sudden heart attack at the age of 79.


Coimbatore: Pollachi mourns the loss of prominent business figure and Tamil Musical Association secretary, GD Gopalakrishnan, who passed away suddenly due to a heart attack early morning on the 28th. Gopalakrishnan, aged 79, also held the position of Pollachi Business Council Chairman and was a relative of the former AIADMK Minister, Senkottaiyan. Gopalakrishnan is survived by his wife Lalitha, and two daughters, Menaka and Lavanya.




Following his demise, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami visited Gopalakrishnan's residence on Nallappa Street in Pollachi to offer his condolences to the bereaved family. He paid floral tributes to Gopalakrishnan’s portrait as a mark of respect.




The condolence visit was attended by several notable AIADMK figures including former ministers Senkottaiyan, C. Thamodharan, Udumalai Radhakrishnan, former Deputy Speaker Pollachi Jayaraman, MLAs Mahendran from Madathukulam, and Amul Kandasamy from Valparai, among others.
