10 per cent EWS reservation should be implemented in Tamil Nadu too: Tamil Nadu Brahmin Association president Narayanan

Speaking after the Brahmin Sangam conference in Coimbatore district, Narayanan said the Tamil Nadu government should take action against those who insult Brahmins on social media.



Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Conference was organised by the Tamil Nadu Brahmin Association at the premises of Hindustan College of Arts and Science in New India, Coimbatore.



The conference was presided over by Coimbatore district president Ramesh and was attended by state president Narayanan. The objective of the conference was to preserve quality and culture, take it to the younger generation, showcase the services and achievements of the Society, welfare of women and empower them.

Moreover, the conference was held with the aim of maintaining the strength of business and entrepreneurship, getting all sections of the society to join the association, higher education consultancy and employment entrepreneurship counselling, reaching out all to brahma samudram.



Speaking to reporters after the conference, state president Narayanan said the "Tamil Nadu government should take action against those who continue to insult Brahmins on social media.

The central government should implement the 10 per cent reservation in Tamil Nadu. An autonomous board should be set up in the temples of the Endowments Department. The Tamil Nadu government should announce a welfare board for the underprivileged like the Kerala government."



Noted pattimandram speaker Bharathi Bhaskar, Dr Ashwin Mohan, Prof Rama Srinivasan, Hindu Makkal Katchi leader Arjun Sampath, and others were present on the occasion.
