Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin to distribute welfare measures to 25,000 beneficiaries at Coimbatore on Sunday

Tamil Nadu Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development Udhayanidhi Stalin will distribute welfare assistance to 25,000 beneficieries at a function organized at the CODISSIA Stadium in City on Sunday.



Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development Udhayanidhi Stalin will distribute welfare assistance to 25,000 beneficiaries at a function organized at the CODISSIA Stadium in City on Sunday.

Minister Senthil Balaji, Coimbatore District Collector Sameeran, Coimbatore Corporation Mayor Kalpana and DMK functionaries inspected the ongoing preparations for the minister’s visit.



Speaking to reporters, Minister Senthil Balaji said “Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Udhayanidhi Stalin will arrive at 10 am on Sunday. He will inspect the Nehru Stadium. Then, he will continue to conduct a review meeting on sports, youth welfare and special schemes at the Collectorate”.

“Later, he will deliver a keynote address to the public at CODISSIA stadium by distributing welfare schemes to the beneficiaries” the minister said added “The Chief Minister Stalin has so far distributed welfare schemes to 1.32 lakh beneficiaries in Coimbatore district”.

Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development will also inaugurate the completed works and lay the foundation stone for the new works.

Further adding that Senthil Balaji said “a list of more than 20,000 beneficiaries has been prepared so far. The number of beneficiaries is likely to increase in the review meeting to be held in this regard”.

“In the final list, about t 25,000 beneficiaries will be given welfare schemes by Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin” he said.

While noting that “Some parties are going to the Supreme Court against freebies. When elections arrive, the same parties seek votes by promising the freebies.

“There are political parties who say one thing in court but practice another” the minister said and added a free bus pass scheme has highly benefitted the womenfolk. It is a noble scheme to improve the quality of life of women and is being implemented by the Chief Minister” the Minister said.

“CM Stalin distributed Rs.4,000 to the family card holders. These are provided by the government to improve the lives of the downtrodden. The court itself has advised to link the Aadhaar number as it is a good initiative. The deadline is till the December 31st” Senthil Balaji said.
