Federation of All Officers' Associations stage protest in Tirupur demanding quashing of Govt. Order 152

The Federation of All Officers' Associations staged a protest in Tirupur demanding that the Government Order 152 of the Tamil Nadu Government be revoked immediately as it was affecting the employees.



Tirupur: The Tamil Nadu Government had issued a Government Order 152 on October 22 which stated that more than 35,000 posts in the remaining 20 Corporations except Chennai have been reduced to 3,417 posts. Due to this, it was expected that staff will be affected and there will be a shortage of basic staff required by the Corporation leading to privatisation of the municipal administration.



The Federation of All Officers' Associations staged a protest alleging that employees were being affected by the Government Order 152.



They also submitted a petition to the Commissioner of Tirupur Corporation demanding the quashing of G.O. 152.
