Minister Ma Subramaniam inaugurates Siddha Clinic and Mother and Child Care Hospital in Tirupur district

Construction of 35 hospitals is in progress in Tirupur Municipality and 36 works are in progress in Udumalpet. RtPCR equipment worth Rs 1.25 crore is being set up at Kangayam Government Hospital.


Tirupur: Health Minister M Subramaniam inaugurated the Siddha and Mother and Child care Clinics at Karattupalayam near Vellakoil here today.

He later told reporters:-

12 hospitals have been inaugurated with additional infrastructure works, two Siddha hospitals and 13 medical buildings worth Rs 2.97 crore.

The public works department will start work at a cost of Rs 12 crore to upgrade the Kangayam Government Hospital and Rs 24 crore has been allocated for upgradation of Dharapuram Government Hospital at par with the District Head Quarters Hospital.

The work will begin on the 15th and the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has announced that urban wellness centres in Delhi are functioning well under the chief minister's 110th announcement. Steps are being taken to set up 750 hospitals accordingly, he said.

Following this, he inspected the additional construction work in the premises of Kangayam Government Hospital.
