Jamaats refuse to bury deceased Muslim's body found in car gas cylinder explosion in Coimbatore

Jamaats in Coimbatore have reportedly refused to come forward to bury the body of Jamesha Mubin, who died in a car explosion in front of the Kottai Easwaran temple, on the grounds that they should not support those indulging in terrorist activities.



COIMBATORE: A man named Jamesha Mubeen was killed when a gas cylinder exploded in a car on Kottai Easwaran Koil Road in front of the temple. The police are investigating if the victim, Jamesha Mubeen perished unaware in the explosion of if he died while trying to execute a terrorist plot.

Indicating that it could be a terrorist conspiracy since nail, country bomb and two cylinder traces were found in the car in which Jamesha Mubin was travelling, the chemical raw materials required to make a country-made bomb were also seized at his residence. Also, five persons from Ukkadam have been arrested in connection with the case.

A medical team led by Dr. Jeba Singh, Head of the post-mortem Department of the Medical College Hospital conducted the post-mortem of the deceased Jamesha Mubin at the Government Hospital in Coimbatore.

A police team led by Assistant Commissioner Thangapandi recorded the post-mortem on video. During the post-mortem, 13 body parts were taken and sent for examination. Mubin's body was handed over to his wife Nasrit after the post-mortem.

However, the Jamaats in Coimbatore did not come forward to bury Mubin's body since they did not want to support anyone who may have planned a terrorist conspiracy. The

Jamaats in Coimbatore reportedly took a stand for peace and decided not to bury the body of Mubin who seems to have participated in a planned anti-social act.

Later, the Poomarket Jamaat came forward on humanitarian grounds to bury Mubin's body. His last rites were performed at Hyder Ali Tipu Sultan Mosque Kabarstan in Poomarket.

It is to be noted that the stance taken by the Jamaats in the case of Mubin has given rise to the hope that Muslim youth will be guided to pursue peace and warned against indulging in acts of terrorism.
