Hash oil worth Rs 2.2 crore seized from Patna-Ernakulam Express

Acting on a tip-off, railway CID officials conducted a raid on the train between Tiruppur and Coimbatore and found that the s-10 coach contained 2.2 kg of Hash oil in the covers.


Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, the railway police seized Hash oil worth Rs 2.2 crore that was smuggled into the Patna-Ernakulam Express train.

The Salem divisional railway department received a tip-off that drugs were being smuggled in a train from Patna to Ernakulam.



Following this, when the train reached between Tiruppur and Coimbatore, railway CID officials conducted a search. At that time, it was found that the mystery covers were under the 71st seat in the S-10 compartment.

The railway police seized the three plastic covers and when they checked it, it was found that it contained 2.2 kg of hayes oil, an intoxicating oil.

It is said to have a market value of around Rs 2.2 crore. The officials have seized it and are on the lookout for the suspects who smuggled the hash oil.
