Did the husband commit suicide after killing his wife? Police are investigating a couple death near Palladam

Thangavel, a farmer in Goundampalayam area near Palladam, has allegedly killed his wife Pushpavathi and committed due to constant fights regarding his excessive drinking.

Tirupur: Thangavelu, a farmer from Palladam Goundampalayam in Tirupur district, lives with his wife Pushpavathi and son Madan Kumar.

Thangavelu, who was doing farming, seems to have given up farming and became addicted to alcohol. It is said that this led to frequent quarrels between the husband and wife.

Thangavelu's son Madan Kumar used to go out every morning at 3 a.m. to sell milk. Similarly, even today, after Madan Kumar went out to sell milk, Thangavel allegedly strangled his wife Pushpavathi to death and then committed suicide by hanging herself.

As the door of Thangavel's house was not opened even after dawn, the neighbours got suspicious and looked inside the house. It was then that the bodies of the two were found inside the house.

Following this, the people of the area immediately informed the Palladam police station. The Palladam police, who rushed to the spot, recovered the bodies of the two and sent them to tirupur head quarters hospital for post-mortem.

Did Thangavelu kill his wife and commit suicide by hanging himself? If so, why did he kill himself. The police are investigating all these various scenarios.
