State Govt issues order to all state authorities to ban PFI in TN

The order signed and passed by Chief Secretary Iraianbu has requested all state authorities to ban PFI following the Union Govt's invoking of UAPA on these organisations.


The order stated that, "Tamil Nadu hereby’ directs that all the powers which are exercisable by the Government of Tami Nadu under sections 7 and 8 of the sald Act in relaton to the aforesaid unlawful association, namely “Popular Front of India (PFI) and its ‘associates or affiliates of fronts including Rehab India Foundation (RIF), Campus.

Front of india (CF), Al India Imams Council (AIC), National Confederation of Human Rights Organization (NCHRO), National Women's Front, Junior Front,

Empower India Foundation and Rehab Foundation, Kerala” shall also be exercised by the Commissioners of Police in the Giles and by the District Collectors"
