'Tourists permitted to take a dip in Kovai Kutralam Falls from Sep. 27:' Forest Dept.

Kovai Kutralam tourism which had been closed since July due to floods will be open to the public from today, September 27. This comes in the wake of the inflow of water receding, according to the Forest Department.

Coimbatore: Tourists will be allowed to take a dip in the Kovai Kutralam Falls from September 27 since the inflow of water had receded. This was announced by the Forest Department.

Everytime there has been flooding in Coimbatore, the Forest Department imposes a ban on public bathing in the Kovai Kutralam waterfalls, keeping in mind the safety of the tourists. Hence, tourists have been banned from bathing since July due to heavy rains in the catchment areas and increased inflow of water.

Since the inflow of water at present has receded due to the decrease in rainfall, the Forest Department has permitted tourists to visit and bathe in the Kovai Kutralam falls in Coimbatore. The Forest Department stated, "Permission to enter the tourist spot will be granted as per the three schedules, subject to conditions, from 10 am to 11 am, from 11.30 am to 12:30 pm, and from 1 pm to 2 pm. Tourists who get a permit at 10 am and go to the Falls will have to leave by 1 pm."

The permission to visit Kovai Kutralam after a long time has brought cheer to the tourists and the general public.
